Erni Upton

Born in 1936 in Ayr, Scotland, Erni has been painting all his life.  He schooled at Ayr Academy and much of his youth was spent with the boats and fishermen of the West Coast and he still cruises these waters each year.  Most of his paintings reflect his background and his three year's training at Glasgow School of Art.  In 1985 after many years in banking, he returned to his first love when he established an art and design company on Shropshire.  He continued to paint, mainly for clients, but it was not until 1999, when the business was sold, that more time became available to paint. Erni's work is successfully shown in many galleries in England, Scotland.  He was elected  Fellow of the Royal Society for Arts, London in November 2004.
